  1. Aspect is critical – sunny but sheltered from winds both prevailing and persistent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Plenty of air circulation \u2013 space specimens so that foliage is not touching other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Secure plants to avoid fall-over, easily damaged as branch infrastructure is fragile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Watering \u2013 not too wet, never too dry \u2013 needs to be consistent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Fertiliser \u2013 ensure application of slow-release fertiliser \u2013 best to use either Troforte (recommended) or Osmocote \u2013 apply as per direction. I recommend quarterly applications.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Scale insects frequent the habitat of the dense dry foliage and are not easily discovered until established.\n

    • I recommend application of Richgro\u2019s Bug Killa Granules as a control measure \u2013 easily applied and works systemically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • I suggest to always apply regardless of known presence of scale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
